Free Climbing as an activity arose from conventional mountain/rock climbing, with the significant difference that in free climbing the goal is to overcome the shortest and most vertical distance which tends to be by far the most difficult. Additionally, with free climbing only the human body is used without any harnesses or ropes to aid in your climb. Climbs are performed with the help of various recesses and protrusions on the rock face, until the top is reached.
Our free climbing track is located at a vertical rock face which rises up to 30 meters in height. As this is a physically demanding activity, based on any previous experience and general physical strength, you will choose which section you will take to get to the top.
As with conventional rock climbing, a rope, belt, carabiners and helmet are used in free climbing. These are not to aid with the climb, but solely to secure the climber from a possible fall. The safety and the necessary equipment are the responsibility of the members and guides of the Ursus Spelaeus Speleological Society from Foča, who are our authorized partner.
